Dear Parents,
We are now halfway through the semester, and we sincerely thank you for your continued trust and support. In every child's learning journey, each bit of understanding and cooperation from families makes a meaningful difference. We would like to take this opportunity to share a brief update on students' current learning progress, as well as the direction we will continue to focus on together in the weeks ahead.
🌟 Midterm Results
In this midterm exam period, students have shown steady overall improvement and a stable learning rhythm.
Most students have maintained a solid learning rhythm and are showing clear academic growth. A few students have demonstrated stronger effort this term and still have room to raise their own standards further. At the same time, there are students who still need to engage more deeply — not just completing tasks, but learning with greater ownership and maturity.
Honestly, I often find myself deeply moved by our students. They approach challenges with persistence and resilience. I have seen students continue working through assignments even while in tears after making mistakes. I have seen students re-record a video hundreds of times just to reach the standard they set for themselves. I have also seen moments of sincere focus and emotional investment in their learning that are truly touching. These moments reveal something deeper than academics — they reflect a growing willingness to keep trying, to persevere, and not to give up easily.
At the same time, I am equally moved by our teachers. Your professionalism, patience, and love for the students are deeply evident. Some teachers adjust their schedules across time zones just to be present for their classes. Others have shared with me that although the work can be tiring, they often finish class with a sense of warmth and joy. This reflects the spirit we strive to live out through our school motto: Seek Truth, Know Thyself, and Serve Others — not only a statement of education, but something we are learning to embody in daily life.
In our conversations with parents, we are often encouraged by your joy and support. Many of you have shared how meaningful it is to witness your child's growth and development over time. One parent shared something their child said: "I've never seen so many great teachers working together like this." Though simple, these words deeply encouraged us and strengthened our commitment to continue walking alongside our students with care — and to extend this opportunity to more families in the future.
📚 Learning Center Impact
The impact of our Learning Center this semester has been very encouraging. Through working closely with students in math and English practice, Ben and I have observed clear improvement in: mathematical understanding and accuracy, vocabulary acquisition, reading comprehension, spelling and word assessments. Even more importantly, we are seeing a shift in learning behavior. Students are no longer simply "stopping when stuck," but are learning to re-engage, receive support, and continue moving forward. This is a very meaningful change. We are deeply grateful, and greatly encouraged. Every effort from our teachers is bearing fruit.
✏️ Second Half Focus: Vocabulary · Vocabulary · Vocabulary
As we move into the second half of the semester, we would like to narrow our focus in one key direction: vocabulary, vocabulary, vocabulary. For students preparing for summer TOEFL/IELTS exams, vocabulary is the foundation — the building blocks that make higher learning possible.

We believe that once vocabulary becomes active and writing becomes more stable, students will move to a significantly higher level of language proficiency.
🏠 How Parents Can Help at Home
We would like to invite parents to support their children in simple and practical ways at home, to help strengthen vocabulary learning:

📖 Born a Crime — Weekly Reading
In our weekly readings and discussions of Born a Crime, we are also seeing students gradually change — not only in academic performance, but in how they think and express themselves. We continue to emphasize three core values: Seek Truth, Know Thyself, and Serve Others, and we are beginning to see these values take shape in real life.
🤝 Referrals Welcome
This semester, we have also welcomed several new students, many of whom were introduced by current families. If you know of students or teachers who may align with our educational philosophy, please feel free to recommend them. I will communicate with each family or teacher to explore whether this community would be a good fit. I truly believe that every encounter and conversation is a blessing. I am grateful for each opportunity to meet, connect, and walk alongside families in this journey.
